Hello all – hope you are coping with the icy weather. It’s a bit hairy out there – take care.
We’re very pleased to bring you some news about the Trust on this cold, Tuesday morning. As a group of Trustees we were recently delighted to invite a Trust member to step up and join the board so…drum roll…without further ado…let us introduce our new Trustee, Sarah Groves.
Many blog readers will recognise Sarah from her involvement in many Trust events over the years. She’s been a key fundraiser for ages and given us invaluable support. From the Campbeltown and Back Again walking challenge last year, to the Ladies Pamper Nights she’s organised, to the bag-packs she’s attended, to the quizzes she’s written, to the support she gave the London to Paris bike team this year – Sarah has been a stalwart and vital part of Trust activities for many years and we’re super chuffed that she’s agreed to become a Trustee. It also helps that she’s one of the most organised people we know (fearsomely so). The only downside is that she doesn’t take milk in her tea, which was almost too much to bear for another Trustee on the board (whom shall remain nameless).
So here’s to a busy 2018 for the Trust and here’s to Sarah, Claire, Chris, Mark, Bekki, John, Marilyn, Tracy, Erol, and all our amazing Members and supporters helping to deliver another year of support to children with metabolic conditions.
Love Bekki and Mark xx
