9th February 2018 – Experience Grants In Spring

Let’s not dwell on the weather outside, let’s not get down about the fact that it’s cold and grey – instead, let’s think ahead to spring and (hopefully) warmer days, and families enjoying time outside.

As you probably know, the Trust awards grants of up to £100 to help families caring for children with metabolic conditions go on a day out. These are our Experience Grants and we’re delighted to say that we’ve given out almost 300 of them over the last 5 years. Families have been to theme parks, the zoo, Harry Potter World, the football, the wrestling (hahaha, love that), have been on short holidays – the Experience Grants have enabled lots of children to have fun with their families, and we’re delighted to be able to help.

So, as we wait for spring to appear, please spread the word about what the Trust does and how we can help families take a break. And, if you’re thinking of undertaking a fundraising challenge in aid of our charity, feel proud that your hard work goes towards helping a kid have a fun day out.
